As AFP’s grassroots engagement director, Michael Clarke, told Newstalk KZRG the training program gives, “advocates the tools they need to really affect change in their communities. This class will teach them how to tell their story about why they care about the things they care about and how they can motivate others to join their cause. It also teaches how to effectively weigh their legislators to come around to that cause as well.”
The advocate training will be hosted from 9 AM to 4 PM in Granny Shaffer’s Banquet Center at 2728 N Rangeline road. Clarke also noted they will be serving meals throughout the day along with workbooks.
Registration is required which can be done at their website.
