Missouri Senator Hawley gets new Chief of Staff

ST. LOUIS — Today U.S. Senator Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) announced Sam Saffa is rejoining the Hawley office as Missouri Chief of Staff. Saffa will replace Daniel Hartman, who departs in July for a new opportunity after years of outstanding service. Hartman has led Senator Hawley’s staff in the state since the Senator was sworn in and previously served as his Chief of Staff in the Missouri Attorney General’s office.
“I’m excited to announce Sam Saffa as my next Missouri Chief of Staff. He is a fighter for Missourians across the state and will only build on what we’ve achieved under Daniel’s leadership,” said Senator Hawley. “I am incredibly grateful for Daniel’s service to the state and all we’ve accomplished together.”
“Serving the people of Missouri has been the highlight of my career. I’m honored to rejoin Senator Hawley’s office in this new role so I can continue that work alongside our incredible team,” said Sam Saffa.
Sam Saffa is returning to Senator Hawley’s office as Missouri Chief of Staff following time in the private sector. Prior to that, Saffa had served in various roles, including deputy state director, St. Louis district director, and the “Hawley for Senate” political director.
Senator Hawley also announced that Matt Bain and Hunter Kelly will take on new roles as deputy state directors. Bain and Kelly currently serve as district directors for the Southeast Missouri and Kansas City regions, respectively.
