Nine Joplin stores fail alcohol compliance checks
Several Joplin stores were caught selling alcohol to minors!

On March 2, 2024, Officers with the Joplin Police Department conducted Youth Alcohol Compliance Checks at various locations throughout the City of Joplin. Of the 29 locations checked, 9 locations were found to be in non-compliance and sold alcohol to the minors. The list of the compliant and non-compliant stores can be found below.
On January 24th, 2024, free Responsible Retailer Training was held free of charge to any alcohol retailer in Southwest Missouri, hosted by Community Partnership of the Ozarks. This training is available and provides up-to-date information on Missouri alcohol sales laws, how to identify minors and intoxicated persons, state compliance checks, and much more. Community Partners of the Ozarks can also provide information on tobacco sales if interested.
