Man arrested in Newton County for calling, harassing women

Newton County Detectives were informed about a subject contacting women and harassing them. The messages to the victims were from unknown numbers and would be sexual in nature.
It was determined that a texting app was being used to conceal the texters identity. Upon receiving results from the search warrant written by Newton County Detectives it was determined that 31-year-old Cody Jeremiah Taylor of Neosho was the subject harassing several women.
Taylor was arrested and charged for Harassment & Sexual Misconduct.
According to the probably cause statement: “In early February 2024, VI [the victim] started receiving texts from random numbers. The texts started as hi or hello, but quickly progressed into sexually inquisitive
and threatening. The texts were persistent, and the numbers frequently changed, usually about every 30 days.
According to information on the statement, Taylor told a detective that he finds women to harass on Facebook and in other interactions in daily life.
