Joplin City Council to meet Monday night in Council Chambers

The Joplin City Council meets Monday night.
A number of items are on the agenda.
Council members will hear a presentation on the proposed upgrade of elevators in City Hall.
They also will hear the Chamber Mo-Kan Report to the Council which deals with the promotion of the city as a place to do business, as well as to live, work and raise a family.
The Council will consider an emergency ordinance approving a Contract for grant money by and between the City of Joplin, Missouri and the Missouri Department of Transportation dealing with a Full-Time DWI Unit, DWI Enforcement, and Hazardous Moving Violations Enforcement.
The council will also hear an ordinance on first reading about the development of a High-Density Evidence Storage System.
The open meeting is expected to be followed by a closed session.
The meeting gets underway at 6 p.m. in Council Chambers in City Hall at 602 S. Main Street. The public is invited to attend.
