Lenten Fish Fry at St. Peter’s starts Friday night

It’s time again for fish on Friday night in Joplin.

The Knights of Columbus will be sponsoring their annual Lenten Fish Fry.

The meal will include fried fish, french fries, cole slaw, macaroni and cheese and special desserts.

The meal will be available each Friday from 5-7 p.m. in the basement of St. Peter the Apostle Church at 812 S. Pearl in Joplin.

“It’s part of our Catholic tradition of not eating meat on Fridays before Lent but everyone is welcome to come join us.,” says Father Brian Straus.

Father Brian says the cost is $10 for adults, $5 for ages 5-12 and free for kids 4 and under or a maximum of $30 for a family.

The last night for the meal will be Friday, April 11th.
