AFC Urgent Care Joplin celebrates 1st Anniversary with ribbon-cutting ceremony

Joplin, MO – May 1, 2025 – AFC Urgent Care Joplin was thrilled to mark its first year of serving the Joplin community with a celebratory ribbon-cutting ceremony on Tuesday, May 13 at 320 S. Geneva Ave, Joplin, MO 64801.

This milestone event, hosted in partnership with the Joplin Area Chamber of Commerce, honored a year of providing fast, compassionate, and affordable healthcare to residents of all ages.

Since opening its doors on May 1, 2024, AFC Urgent Care Joplin has become a trusted healthcare resource, offering walk-in urgent care, occupational health services, vaccinations, and physicals. With a state-of-the-art facility featuring in-house labs, digital X-rays, and a dedicated team of providers, the clinic has served thousands of patients, delivering care with short wait times—often under 15 minutes—and a commitment to community wellness.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrated AFC Joplin’s impact, particularly its support for the senior community through accessible services like flu shots, wellness exams, and chronic condition management. Attendees  include local dignitaries, Chamber representatives, AFC staff, and community members.

The event included remarks from Clinic Director Reilly Allmoslecher, a ceremonial ribbon-cutting, and opportunities for networking and light refreshments.

“We’re overjoyed to celebrate our first anniversary with the Joplin community that has welcomed us so warmly,” said Allmoslecher said.

“Our mission has always been to provide the right care, right now, and we’re proud to have made a difference in the lives of our patients,” she added. “This ceremony is a chance to say thank you and recommit to keeping Joplin healthy.”

The celebration included tours of the 3,000+ square-foot facility, showcasing its advanced technology and patient-friendly environment.
