Burlison discusses Federal budget and storm damage on KZRG Morning Newswatch

Savings can be found in the Federal budget according to Missouri Congressman Eric Burlison.
On the KZRG Morning Newswatch, Burlison said:
“Trump says we’re not talking about Social Security or Medicare, that leaves Medicaid. And the only thing that I think is appropriate and I think it’s reasonable, is to return to the pre Covid levels, the policies before COVID So, and I just think, is that too much to ask to say, can we not just return to at least the partial sanity that we had when it comes to these welfare programs before COVID happened?”
When asked about the possibility of rebuilding help for last month’s storm damage in his district near Seymour, Missouri Congressman Eric Burlison said:
“A lot of the damage was in the Amish community. And that community, they rebuilt all their chicken barns and everything within one week. They’re an example of not waiting for the government, but then across the road from them, there’s people that are having trouble getting the financing and getting the availability of workers to help rebuild. So while, yes, there’s some that are going to do it on their own and with that attitude, they probably would have done that anyway. But the people that are really in a vulnerable situation are the ones that need the help (from the government).”
