Baxter Springs appoints Interim Police Chief

Baxter Springs, Kansas has a new top cop – at least on an interim basis.

The City has appointed Rick Comer as interim police chief.

That’s after Jimmy Hamilton voluntarily stepped down after just four months on the job.

He’ll be serving as assistant Chief while the search continues for a permanent replacement.

Applications can be picked up at the Baxter City Hall and will be accepted for the next two weeks.
