Joplin Habitat, General Mills to raise walls on house for a deserving Veteran

This Thursday morning at 9 a.m., Joplin Area Habitat for Humanity’s Veterans Build program with help from General Mills, will start raising walls for Navy Veteran Janene Houskeeper at 806 N. Tom Street in Webb City on Thursday and Friday.
General Mills has collaborated with Joplin Area Habitat for Humanity (JAHFH) since 2006 and has contributed over $300,000 to JAHFH’s housing programs over the last 20 years.
General Mills’ latest contribution of $20,000 given this year is in support of the Veterans Build program.
Since beginning the Veterans Build program in 2017, JAHFH has constructed six houses for veterans and are looking for more veterans to assist through our new home construction and repair services.
Seeking to put God’s love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities and hope. JAHFH began in 1989, and have built 192 homes and have completed over 500 repairs for homeowners with housing needs.
They currently have eight homes under construction and plans to begin four more in 2025.
