US Senator Roy Blunt says his bill to prohibit funding for fencing around the Capital will make a big difference

During a press conference yesterday, Missouri US Senator Roy Blunt and Maryland Senator Chris Van Hollen announced legislation that would prohibit funding of permanent fencing around the Capital.

Senator Roy Blunt said, “The bill basically says no federal funds may be used to install permanent fencing around the Capital or around the Capital buildings. It’s not very complicated, but the statement we make by passing this legislation and following it will make a big difference.”
