A woman from Carthage, Missouri, was killed in a two-vehicle crash that also injured four young children.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident happened around 10 am Friday at the intersection of County Road 80 and Oak Road, nine miles northeast of Carthage.

22-year-old Destiny A. Jennings was driving an SUV that reportedly failed to yield and pulled into the path of a minivan, which caused the violent collision.

Destiny was pronounced dead at the scene.

Her passenger, 23-year-old Christian Blevins, also of Carthage, suffered serious injuries. Two infants in her SUV suffered minor injuries.

In the minivan, four people from Pittsburg, Kansas, were hurt, including two toddlers.
