Three Vernon County residents held on felony charges in Nevada

Three men from Vernon County are facing multiple felony charges related to a burglary.
The Vernon County Sheriff’s office says Robert Prentice and Joshua Lingar of Nevada and Kacey Carlson of Milo are charged with class D felony burglary, 2nd degree; class D felony of stealing $750 or more; and class E felony property damage, first degree.
The charges relate to the alleged theft of items from a home in Schell City.
A private citizen discovered the crime and reportedly held the three at gun point until the sheriff’s department arrived at the scene.
Prentice, Lingar and Carlson are being held in the Vernon County Jail on $10,000 cash only bonds.
