Two from Commerce Oklahoma indicted by Federal Grand Jury

A couple from Commerce, Oklahoma have been indicted by a Federal Grand Jury in the Northern District of Oklahoma

32-year-old Daniel Allen Ash and 30-year-old Amber Dawn Murphy, a member of the Cherokee Nation, are charged with unlawfully killing a minor child in Septembe. 2024 and willfully neglecting the health, safety, and welfare of four minor children.

Ash is further charged with engaging in a sexual act with a minor child under 12 years old.

Additionally, Ash is charged with possessing visual images depicting the sexual abuse of at least one prepubescent minor.

The FBI and Quapaw Nation Marshal Service are the investigative agencies.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Alicia Hockenbury is prosecuting the case.
